Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
A middle of the work week lunch break, what a great time to grab some chicken errrr fish.  Stopping in at the Enid, OK location of Popeye's I was greet to a clean store and a warm welcome by staff. Which is a nice occurrence for fast food places.   After ordering the "fish platter", I was informed it would be about 3 minutes wait time due the fish being cooked to order. About 5 minutes from ordering instead of yelling out my name or number the employee brought my order to my table.  3 pieces of fish, side of mashed taters and brown gravy, coleslaw, a biscuit and a good size drink for $8.00 and some change.  Before even tasting the food the price versus the amount of food was great. I received a good portion amount of food.  The fish was cooked to order. And the crispy exterior was crispy enough to hold everything together, but still allow it to be flaky. You had the Cajun seasoning in every bite. The mashed potatoes are your typical fast food potatoes UNTIL you taste brown gravy. The gravy has a Cajun gravy, has a little kick and flavor to it. It makes the meal.  My only down side to the whole meal is the tarter sauce, prepackaged and almost a mayonnaise consistency.
Overall Popeyes delivers a Cajun flavor that makes you feel like you're in Louisiana. The customer service is on point. I truly felt like they were happy I was there.
